The Third Category of Kamma:
Kamma Which Gives Its
Consequences as a Function of Time
There are Kamma which gives its consequences as a function of time. This third category of Kamma is called 'Paka-kala-catu-kaka.' There are four types of 'Paka-kala-catu-kaka, as follows:
1. Effective Kamma (Dittha-dhamma -veda-niya-kamma)
2. Subsequently Effective Kamma (Upa-pajja-veda-niya-kamma)
3. Indefinitely Effective Kamma (Apara-pariyaya-veda-niya-kamma)
4. Defunct Kamma (Ahosi-kamma)
