Then not long after that,
The bad trader had returned to the old woman and her granddaughter to take the golden tray. |
When the old woman opened the door, she found the bad trader, so, she complained him and told him that she had sold the golden tray to the good trader with a very high price. |
After the trader heard that the tray had been bought already, so he felt very sad till he was faint. |
After he regained consciousness, he madly overturned the tray on the ground and spoke like a lunatic. |
When he saw the good trader’s balance from a distance, he was heartbroken and lost his mind. He knew that he lost the precious golden tray. Then he ran to the ferry landing. |
At the ferry landing, the good trader was sitting on the boat heading to the other side. |
The good trader sensed that it’s a bit weird, so he told the boatman to row the boat quickly to get to the other side. |
When he saw the boat did not come back to get him, he was furious and revengeful, and then he bent down to pick two handfuls of sandfrom the ground. |
Then he was shouting out with a loud voice that he would get revenge on the good trader until the number of lives forward equaled the number of grains of two handfuls of sand in his both hands. |
Because an anxious mind with fire of rage was crunching and breaking his heart, he was coughing up his blood, and he finally died right there. |
After the bad trader had already died, his soul was plunging to hell. It’s because of his vindictive mind. So, he had to suffer in there for many eons.
By the way, the good trader had returned home, and then he sold the golden tray. The tray helped him to make his fortune in his business and he became a rich man latter on. He had kept making merits till he died. Thenceforth, in any life of two traders whenever they met each other, whatever they were being e.g. animals or humans or even being relatives, the bad trader would get revenge on the good trader. |

..... 2. Hooligans always see harm of the other people but could not see their own harm.
..... 3. Even hooligans know the dharma but they did not practice it. That knowledge would be to destroy them even though they know about the past life which it is very difficult to know, they would use that knowledge for taking revenge on others.
