The universal rhythm of daily life
In the morning when we wake up, we feel fresh. Then we go I forwards to do some form of work during the day. Young children spend time in school, young adults may study at college or university, but it is still work of a sort. Each day at our study or work place, we will feel tired by the evening. Then we know it's time to be out of our working place. At this moment our mind meter reads a lower level.
Once released from our working environment we will have recreation time. We shop, dine, play some sport, listen to music and so on, and end up with sleeping. In the morning we will be fresh again. One's mind meter reads a higher level.
Friday evening is different from Monday evening. Each recharging session in the evening and night time isn't quite enough. That's why everywhere in the world people need a break of at least 1 or 2 days per week. To be free Saturday and Sunday is a longer recharge. It allows us to be really fresh and energized again ready for Monday morning.
Also for the year-round period, people need long holidays. It shows that even weekly holidays can't be enough in the long term.
