Preface
“I am Single, but I still have many children (disciples) all across the country.” I once heard Master Nun Grandma Chand Khonnokyoong (Khun Yai Ajahn) proudly say this with a smile full of compassion. Grandma had so many disciples both in Thailand and abroad. They had their own different worldly duties, and they all respected and loved her with all their hearts. I was one of her disciples…feeling so fortunate to have had a meritorious opportunity to be one of her attendants. As I accompanied her, I saw the bright wisdom and great virtues within her. Throughout my life, Grandma was the one who has exemplified exceptional purity. There were some feelings that I could never put into human terms. My writing is simply a tiny part that I wish to pass on to others, to make them feel closer to Grandma. Our memory may fade with time, but I hope I can retain these memories forever. I want to bring all the good things together and arrange them as I would thread flowers to make a floral garland, and respectfully offer this to Master Nun Grandma Chand Khonnokyoong who remains one of the greatest teachers of all.
