ตอนที่3 จุดเริ่มต้นของวัดพระธรรมกาย
Originally, this plot of land
used to be a large rice paddy field
that was extremely dry.
เดิมทีที่ดินผืนนี้เคยเป็นทุ่งนาขนาดใหญ่
ซึ่งมีความเเห้งเเล้งมาก
The temple was founded in 1970
by Master Nun Chand,
Luang Por Dhammajayo and Luang Por Dattajivo.
วัดพระธรรมกายเริ่มก่อสร้างเมื่อปี ค.ศ. 1970 (พ.ศ.2513)
โดยคุณยายอาจารย์มหารัตนอุบาสิกาจันทร์ ขนนกยูง
หลวงพ่อธัมมชโย เเละหลวงพ่อทัตตชีโว
At that time, Master Nun Chand was 60 years old.
She started building up the temple with 3,200 bath
or about 100 dollars as an initial fund.
ในตอนเริ่มสร้างวัดนั้น คุณยายอาจารย์ฯ มีอายุ 60 ปี
เเละเริ่มสร้างวัดด้วยเงินทุนก้อนเเรกจำนวน 3,200 บาท
หรือ เป็นเงิน 100 เหรียญสหรัฐ
The ideal of the temple is
"building a temple to be a true temple
cultivating monks to be true monks
and promoting people to be good people".
คติในการสร้างวัดคือ
"สร้างวัด...ให้เป็นวัด
สร้างพระ...ให้เป็นพระเเท้
เเละสร้างคน...ให้เป็นคนดี"
